"Press rewind if I haven't blown your mind" (c) Redman
So fuckin' odd, but so fuckin dope. Everything from the acting to the cinematography is off just a little, but that's what makes it fresh.

"I think I'm in love..." (c) Andre 3000
Just in case people need another reminder. She is still amazingly beautiful.

Bounce into the gutter for a second. For real, I've seen the Playboy, both versions of the "sex" tape, and countless other pictures, but these might be two of the best shots of her ass I've ever seen. It could be because the pics are candid, and she isn't trying to flaunt it, but regardless that ass and the rest of her is beautiful.
"Wanna be in the trunk, with the booming box" (c) Too $hort
Similar to the Rakim inspired Benz chain I wanted when I was younger, I also always wanted a Too $hort varsity jacket. Something about that style of jacket with that big dollar sign on it was always so dope to me. It would look fresh in black and grey as well.
It would be fresh to have a DJ just kickin it in the truck as well... hahaha

"If I had a million dollars... well i'd spend it all" (c) Sublime
"G'yeah" (c) MC Eiht

The west didn't always have the greatest lyricists, but one thing that can't be denied is the funk.
From NWA to $hort to CMW to 40 to Above the Law to DJ Quik... list goes on. I have love for all Hip Hop, but the funky sounds that came out of the West in the late 80's/early-mid 90's will always hold a special place to me. Say what you wanna say about the lyrics, but you can't deny the funk.
"Mama Said Knock You Out" (c) LL Cool J
Yesterday, I hit up the Fifty24SF Gallery to check out "Greatest Hits" by the Heavyweights (http://www.hvw8.com/home.php). I first heard about this collective of artists years ago, and was impressed by the colors, subjects and overall design of the pieces. It was amazing to see the full size pieces. Great way to spend part of a Saturday.

"Bust off on your couch, now you got..." (c) Phife *NWS
Let me bounce in to the gutter for a minute... This video is great! Yes, it sorta a typical video... nudity and sex... but I have to give it up for a band down to shoot a video in a pussy. hahahaha. I don't know of too many other bands willing to end their video getting sprayed with cum, but if you are going to make a video like this, you have to be in it to the end.

"Gotta go and get the money" (c) JDilla
Feb 7th, 1974 - Feb 10th, 2006

I'll be real, I wasn't the biggest fan of man's music until I heard him chop the hell outta James Brown's "Man's, Man's World." I always had respect for his music, but until I heard that beat he just couldn't compete against Premier, Pete Rock, The Bomb Squad, Dr. Dre and Marley Marl in my mind. But when I heard that beat he automatically shot to number 3 on my list (after Pete and Premier). I grew to love the rest of his music and understand his genius. It has been almost 2 years and it is still hard to believe he's gone, but his music will forever live on.
Thank You Jay Dee.

R.I.P. Tony Silver.
"Style Wars" is one of my favorite documentaries ever. He will be missed.

"In control of many like Ayatollah Khomeini"*(c) Rakim
Thanks to Rakim, when I was younger, I always wanted a big ass chain with a Benz medallion. I always thought it looked fresh.
Truthfully, I STILL want one. hahahahaha
Truthfully, I STILL want one. hahahahaha*Side note: It was thanks to lines like this (and the one about Anwar Sadat in the same song) that I started to learn about things in the world... people, events, subjects, etc... Hip Hop used to be a gateway to new things for me, and I am forever thankful for that.
